Check whether household batteries are good, low or ready to replace in seconds. The BT-168 is a compact analog battery tester for common AA, AAA, C, D, 9V and 1.5V button cells. It needs no battery of its own—the cell being tested powers the gauge.
Key features
- Universal household compatibility: tests AA, AAA, C, D, 9V and 1.5V button cells.
- Instant analog reading: the colour-coded gauge shows Good, Low or Replace at a glance.
- No batteries required: ready to use whenever you need it.
- Compact and portable: easy to keep in a toolbox, drawer or travel kit.
- Reduce battery waste: identify cells that still have usable power before recycling them.
How to use the BT-168
- Adjust the contact: pull out the red sliding arm to fit an AA, AAA, C or D battery. Use the marked fixed contacts for 9V and button cells.
- Match the terminals: place the positive (+) and negative (-) ends against the corresponding tester contacts.
- Read the gauge: hold the battery securely for a moment and check whether the needle points to Good, Low or Replace.
Understanding the result
- Good: the battery has useful power remaining.
- Low: the battery may still work in low-drain devices such as clocks or remote controls.
- Replace: the battery is depleted and should be recycled appropriately.
