Will this work with my Android/Google TV projector (e.g. HY300, generic Android TV box projectors)?

Yes, with some limitations depending on your projector model.

Pairing: This remote uses standard Bluetooth HID, so it pairs directly to most Android TV / Google TV based projectors the same way it would to a Chromecast device. Go to the projector's Settings > Bluetooth, put the remote into pairing mode (hold Back + Home together until the LED pulses), and select it from the device list.

What typically works: Directional pad, Select/OK, Back, Home, and Volume controls.

What may not work, depending on your projector's firmware:

• Power button (many projectors don't support IR/CEC power control from a Google TV remote, so you'll still need the projector's own power button or original remote)
• Google Assistant mic button (voice input depends on the projector having Google TV services integrated, not just base Android)
• Dedicated YouTube/Netflix shortcut buttons (only work if those exact apps are installed and mapped)

HY300 owners: we've confirmed this directly. Pairing works via Settings > Bluetooth as above, and the D-pad, Select/OK, Back, Home, and Volume controls all work. The Power button, Google Assistant mic, and YouTube/Netflix shortcuts do not work on the HY300, since it lacks HDMI-CEC support and isn't in the Google TV IR database. You'll still need the HY300's own power button or original remote for turning the projector on/off. Alternative: if you plug a Chromecast dongle into the HY300's HDMI port, this remote controls the Chromecast interface seamlessly (power button limitation still applies).

Alternative if navigation is all you need: plug in a USB wireless mouse/keyboard, or use a Bluetooth HID remote app on your phone for full control.
