How the K-1028E Works

There are two ways to pair this remote with your air conditioner:

1. Auto Search (recommended first)

This is the easiest method and doesn't require knowing any codes:

1. Aim the remote at your A/C unit.
2. Press and hold Power to start auto-search.
3. Wait for your unit to beep or power on, then immediately release and press OK to save the code.
4. Test Power, Mode (Cool/Heat), Temperature, and Fan Speed to confirm it's working.

Some brands — including Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Gree — are pre-loaded and often work immediately with no setup at all.

2. Manual Code Entry (if auto-search doesn't work)

If auto-search doesn't find your unit, you can enter a code manually using the code list below:

1. Find your air conditioner's brand in the table below.
2. Hold the SET button for about 3 seconds until the code flashes on the display.
3. Press TEMP+ or TEMP− to cycle to the code number for your brand.
4. When your A/C beeps or responds, press OK to lock in the code.
5. If a brand has a range (e.g. 001–019), try each code in that range in order until your unit responds.
